About Bangkok

Bangkok is the capital of Thailand. It is very well-known for its busy streets, super chaotic traffic, and beautiful temples. It’s a popular place to visit in Southeast Asia, mostly as the start of a tour through Thailand.

In 2022, I had the chance to visit this city for seven days, and I still look back at it with warm feelings. There is just so much to do; seven days are not even enough. Bangkok is a great mix of old (culture) and new (skyscrapers), and I wrote quite a few articles about it, which you can read here

This particular article isn’t sponsored—though I wish it were! I’m writing it purely out of love for the hotel I stayed at. (But hey, if they’re reading this, I wouldn’t mind working together in the future!)

My experience at Hotel Clover Asoke - SHA Extra Plus

As I said, I spent 7 days in Bangkok in 2022 and stayed at this hotel (Clover Asoke – Sha Extra Plus) all week. It might be a bit out of the budget for backpackers, but after traveling for some time, you can treat yourself right.

I rarely say this, but I loved everything about my stay! You might say I’m a bit picky, but from the moment I checked in, the hotel exceeded my expectations. I stayed on their female-friendly floor, which made me feel extra secure, especially as a solo female traveler. The staff was incredible, always remembering me and stopping for a friendly chat.

I am away-sick when I think back to this hotel and want to fly back to Thailand NOW!

All of the benefits of your stay at this hotel

Let me sum up all the things I loved (which is quite a lot):

  • We stayed on a female-friendly floor
  • The staff was really kind
  • Breakfast has a whole delicious buffet. There are not just Asian dishes, but also European food, like different kinds of breads.
  • The view from breakfast was gorgeous
  • There is a pool and gym with a great view as well
  • It is 400 meters (3 minutes walk) from a BTS (metro station)

  • The Terminal 21 Shopping Mall for a rainy day, is just a 7 minutes walk away
  • The rooms are cutely decorated, and clean, and there is a warm shower (which was nice after coming from Cambodia
  • I booked a room for 4 nights but stayed another 4 nights and when I booked that, the staff gave us free breakfast for the upcoming 4 nights, super sweet of them
  • They even provide a bathrobe and slippers, a hair dryer, and other shower amenities. Also, there is a looot of space to put all of your stuff. Every day they clean your room and don’t put just 1, but like 4 small bottles of water in the room, super easy!
